We are looking for a R&D Innovation Chef to make a difference in an international R&D organization! Your role will perform as an essential member within the ‘International Consumer Culinary Experience’ team, working alongside passionate culinary professionals striving to achieve ambitious goals.

Your main responsibility will be to manage innovation and activation projects, developing recipes, prototypes and gold standard to inspire our future innovation pipeline as well as promote the superior experience of our existing portfolio within the international zone. In your role you be reporting to the R&D Culinary Innovation Manager, working very closely with cross-functional colleagues as well as external business partners.

Role responsibilities

  • Ability to desk research and hands on qualities to define a ‘Culinary Gold Standard Recipe’.
  • Hands on specific trend reports and data tool.
  • Collect, analysis and translate international trend data to create/inspire/ideate according to project needs.
  • Active member of project teams by translating collected information into recipes/prototypes/ gold standards to demonstrate the value of delivering superior culinary experiences.
  • Communicate outcomes with the right storytelling and a clear reason to believe behind our culinary innovation proposition.
  • Support technical teams to translate into commercially feasible products.
  • Participate into culinary programs linked to culinary strategic platforms to proactively inspire the next generation of innovations for client.
  • Prototype products and develop content/recipes.
  • Map and test developed prototypes with matching host foods.
  • Create- test and document new consumer recipes.
  • Ensure strong team project engagement.
  • Regular communication on on-going activities.
  • Demonstration of progresses at regular intervals.
  • Delivering final presentation/reporting for further internal and/or external communication of the outcomes.
  • Be the go-to expert on your specific product category (TK, Mayo, Condiments, Meals, …), ensuring all knowledge, best practices, education is communicated in a consistent way.
  • Ensure strong activation of our existing SKUs to leverage at the maximum the experiences that we could deliver to our consumers.
  • Participate into external culinary activation or education sessions managed by the team.
  • Maintain strong nutritional awareness- combined with Culinary expertise and creativity.
  • Be an active member of the global Culinary network community- sharing trends- recipe ideas- and building best practice capabilities. Connect regularly with other chefs in other regions to ensure one chefs’ team.
  • Ensure compliance to all safety and hygiene policies required by local law.
  • Manage daily operations (material, food, …) as well as ensure HACCP rules are respected in the building’s kitchen facilities.

Profiel

  • Bachelor degree or culinary degree (i.e. Certificates from hospitality school- apprenticeship).
  • 1-3 years’ work experience in food service (applicable channels: hotels- FSR- QSR- pubs- catering- industry- or institutional).
  • 1+ years’ experience in a corporate R&D environment is preferred.
  • Good communication/presentation and networking skills- with digital understanding.
  • Excellent English language skills- spoken and written.
  • Enthusiastic passion for food.
