For one of our clients in specialized nutrition we are looking for a Quality & Food Safety Standards Manager within Global Standards & Risk Management team.

The Global Standards & Risk Management team focusses on leverage scientific, regulatory & technical expertise to drive QFS governance and compliance, delivering products according with thoroughly defined standards to consumers and customers.
The Team achieves this through risk identification, assessment and end to end management, underpinned by a global QMS.

The SN Food Safety Team is a business partner that leverages and translates expertise for proactive risk management to serve consumers & patients.
More specifically, with a focus on the Specialized Nutrition product category, including First Diet:

  • Identifying and preventing emerging and evolving QFS risks
  • Defining the specific FS requirements
  • Supporting risk management in sourcing, innovation and manufacturing
  • Supporting and preventing (Q)FS incidents & crises
  • Ensuring continuous improvement (FSI)
  • Building FS capabilities (tools & training)

For this role, which will last 6 months, the key tasks are:

  • Establishing an annual update of the Global Quality & Food Safety standards for finished Specialized Nutrition products, based on an existing shortlist of essential updates, mainly driven by evolving food safety regulation
  • Tracking Food Safety Regulatory evolutions for the Infant and Young Children & Medical Nutrition portfolio based on team inputs, European industry association inputs (SNE), regulatory databases and inputs from the SN Food Safety Regulatory Referent Network
  • Coordinating the Specialized Nutrition & First Diet Risk Mitigation Groups, associated minutes and action follow-up. The RMGs are cross-functional working groups that collaborate on impact assessment of upcoming stricter maximum (contaminant) limits on the SNU and First Diet product portfolio, understanding challenges via cross-functional rootcause analysis and putting forward risk management options to ensure timely compliance/ conformity

Profiel

  • Food technology background (BsC or MSc)
  • Experience in a Food Quality Assurance role for a minimum of 3 years
  • Analytical mindset
  • Structured approach
  • Experience with root cause analysis
  • Solution oriented
  • Cross-functional leadership
  • Communication skills (with technical & non-technical functions
  • Fluent in English
