For one of our clients we are looking for a Global Specifications manager.

Functieomschrijving

As Global Specification Manager you will:

  • Manage the specifications of Dairy materials in Europe, which includes, but not limited to a particular Dairy Sub Category, also supporting other Dairy Ingredient as per business exigencies and any responsibilities assigned to a specific project
  • Support raw material monitoring programs which may include sample management result tracking and statistical analysis
  • Manage the Specifications approval process and maintaining up to date Artemis (SAP System) data will be a part of the role

How will you achieve this? By:

  • Achieving full technical, food safety and regulatory compliance of Infant Milk Ingredients specifications
  • Achieving first time right/quality by design for any Infant Milk Ingredient specification change introduced across whole value chain by executing robust specification management processes
  • Driving specification upgrading process: functional specification, supplier SPC (tolerances), new regulatory global requirements, safety risks anticipation
  • Identifying opportunities for specification improvement, efficiency, complexity reduction, security of supply and translate those into concrete harmonization projects across factories and suppliers
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationship with internal (Purchasing, Regulatory and R&D teams) and external partners (suppliers, technology partners) for excellence in execution
  • Contributing to improving ways of working and processes in Infant Milk Ingredients Specifications management

Profiel

  • A Master’s degree in Food Science or related field is preferred, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree can also apply
  • Preferably 2 years of experience building a strong know-how of dairy raw materials, dairy conversion processes/technologies, dairy cost drivers and regulation
  • Preferably Dairy specifications development experience with a strong focus on material quality, food safety and regulatory compliance on global scale
  • Excellent team working and communication skills in a non-hierarchical, cross functional and highly international environment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a changing and complex environment
  • Pragmatism and agility: operational focus, booster, operational improvements
  • Resilience and determination to make things happen
  • Experience in Artemis/SAP systems is a plus
  • Flexible to take ownership of other dairy portfolios at a short notice
  • Ability to work in a multi – cultural dynamic environment
  • Experience in working in large data management systems
