Join our Global R&D team at Mars Food and Nutrition, a leading player in the human food industry committed to delivering high-quality and nutritious food products. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Product Developer to join our Global renovation team. In this role you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and testing of new products, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with the latest food technologies and contribute to the creation of innovative and sustainable food solutions into a fast pace multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete lab work for products during product development stage
• Support product developers in the development kitchen and pilot plant with sample making
• Support sensory evaluations
• Support shelf-life studies, with accurate reporting, tastings, and planning
• Support pilot scale trials in partnership with the pilot plant team
• Ensure all prototype samples are made in adherence with global standards in good manufacturing practices, HACCP, and Mars Quality Management processes as well as Human Safety and Environment

The job will work predominantly on site into a highly engaged and fast paced multicultural RD environment, it is responsible for self-prioritizing and planning activities in the scope of this role to secure the expected outcome (qualitative and quantitative).

Profiel

• BSc or MSc degree in Food Technology.
• Good thinking, ability to work alone, good communication skills.
• Physical ability to walk throughout the Pilot plant to include multiple levels, stand for >1 hour regularly and >4 hours on rare occasions and lift 25 kg.
• Customer Focus/Collaborates, Drive for Results, Approachability, Action Oriented.
• Strong data collection; analysis and problem-solving skills, Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is nice to have.
• Starting date preferably a.s.a.p.

Aanbod

• Temporary contract via Nutri-akt, at least for 6 months (with probably option to extend)
• Salary range €21.91 – €32.86 gross per hour
• Hybrid working
